Short Teachers Day Speech (1 Minute, Ready to Read)

Assalam-o-Alaikum and good morning to our respected Principal, dear teachers and my fellow students.

Today, on 5 October, the world celebrates Teachers’ Day, and this year marks 60 years since the world first agreed on how teachers should be respected and protected.

A teacher is like a lamp that burns itself to give others light. Our teachers wake up early, stay late and give us their patience, even on the days we test it.

The Prophet ﷺ taught us that Allah, His angels, and even the ant and the fish, send blessings on those who teach people good. That is how high a teacher’s status is.

So today, let’s do more than say “thank you.” Let’s listen in class, respect our teachers and make them proud with our actions.

Happy Teachers’ Day to every teacher in this school. Thank you, and JazakAllah khair.

What to Write in a Teachers Day Card (3-Line Formula)

1. Thank them for something specific: “Thank you for your extra help with algebra.”
2. Say how it changed you: “Now I actually enjoy maths, and I got an A!”
3. End with a wish or dua: “May Allah reward you. Happy Teachers’ Day!”, then sign with your name and class.

Who is giving	Wish style	Small gift to pair with it
Young student	Cute, with drawings or stickers	Handmade card, flowers, a chocolate
Teen student	Short and sincere	A pen, a mug with a quote, a plant
Parent	Warm and appreciative	Tea set, a book, a gift voucher
Islamic school student	Dua-focused	Prayer mat, Islamic book, attar
Colleague	Friendly, a bit funny	Coffee, stationery, snacks for the staffroom

How we wrote this list: Every wish on this page is original and written by the BlogsFussion team. We checked the 2026 date and theme against UNESCO’s official page and added Urdu, Roman Urdu and Islamic wishes because most Teachers’ Day lists leave them out.
